About

Only a mile from historic home of the blues, Clarksdale in a gated community. The cottage sits on the banks of the Sunflower River with beautiful views of rustic woods. Out your window you might see deer, fox & other wildlife. Take a walk along the riverbank. You’ll enjoy relaxing in the comfy beds, ,enjoy privacy, the piano , & closeness to all the blues music venues. It has two fire pits, an outside grill & full kitchen. Good to know

The cottage is a old shotgun tenant house with pecky cypress walls. It has one comfy king size bed and a plug in eazi- bed air mattress or the sofa. It also was a tiny bedroom in the back with 2 twin beds . So the cottage will sleep 5 (it will be very cozy. :)) There is a desk area and a 50" TV with you tube live,Netflix, and prime video, DVD player and a full kitchen. One bath with a large shower and lighted makeup mirror. There is a small closet with hanging space and luggage rack for suitcases.iron and ironing board are in kitchen area . cottage is pet friendly.. Need more space? Check out our new sister property right next door , The Sunflower Penthouse on the River, or the Sunset Log Cabin across the street by the cotton field

. Coffee station provided. Upright Piano . One mile from downtown Clarksdale and 4 minutes to SHACK UP INN and HOPSON PLANTATION VENUE. There is always a 4 night minimum for the Juke Joint Festival in April

House Rules

NO PARTIES !! ( more than 4 people that are not staying at Cottage is a Party) Please no smoking inside cottage ( you can ,of course ,smoke outside on the porch). Please no foul language outside ( there are children and grandchildren next door. No drugs. When you are away from the cottage, please keep pets in their travel crates, Please stay to left of fence down by cottage..The pool is not on my property .Please do not wander to the right of the iron fence and wood fence as that is my neighbors yard ,not mine . But you can wander the whole riverbank and cotton field across the road . 😀 Please let me know when you check in and when you check out. Please empty trash into large trash containers outside in drive. Please lock door when you leave ( wave hand over keypad) Please turn off lights and turn down A/c

Neighborhood

The cottage is one miles from downtown Clarksdale , it is across from a cotton field , on the bank of the Sunflower River, very private with beautiful view of riverbank and woods. Easy access to other venues around the area. One mile by car from downtown ( Red’s Levon’s Restaurant , Yazoo Pass Resturant*, Abe’s BBQ. Azimba’s Mexican or Stone pony for sports and Pizza or head 4 minutes away down 49 and Hopkins plantation commissary and Shack Up Inn's venues.

Guest Access

Guest will have access to the outside grill, gas and wood firepits, free parking , a 50" TV, DVD player . Great walks down to and along the riverbank or around the farm land/ cotton field across the road. Cottage has a new upgraded full kitchen with sink , .. a Kerig coffeemaker , fridge with ice maker , stove, and microwave. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board, shampoo , conditioner, body wash are all available , Also a nice laptop ready workspace with wifi .

Find us

There is plenty of parking for guests , there are some taxi cabs in town. ( I do not recommend walking to town at night as country road has no lights or side walks and cars move very quickly and would not see you)
